The infection extends into tissue around anus and appears at the skin as a red and painful bulge containing pus (abscess). The pus must be surgically removed. The anal orifice which caused the inflammation is not treated and the inflammation may reappear. Most often, some pus coming out the surgical site of drainage is seen (anal fistula).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Hydradenitis<\/strong><br>Hydradenitis (Verneuil\u2019s disease) is an inflammation of skin glands around the anus. Hydradenitis does not communicate with anal canal. However the skin inflammation extends laterally and can cause many skin orifices. Smoking is a contributing factor.
